The Kindness ‘K’urriculum

Adapted from the curriculum developed by the University of Minnesota, Ikigai has curated a Kindness ‘K’urriculum as we believe ‘kindness’ lies at the heart of anyone trying to find their purpose

Building Bonds (Parent-Toddler 1)

Ages

9 to 13 month olds

Timings

Tuesdays and Thursdays – 11.45am to 12.45pm

Helping the littlest humans develop the necessary sensory and fine motor skills during their babyhood has become more of a challenge in today’s world considering mummas and papas are out at work and large extended families do not exist like before.. Ikigai’s Building Bonds course is carefully designed to provide the optimal learning environment for parents and bubs to bond while exploring through the senses, allowing them to achieve various physical, emotional, cognitive and social milestones along the way.

Play Preppers (Playgroup)

Ages

14 to 18 month olds

Timings

Mondays to Fridays – 11.15am to 12.30pm

Now that the toddlers have begun to work and explore their environment independently, Ikigai’s Play Preppers course aims at introducing the 22nd century skills of curiosity, communication, creativity and critical thinking  during learning engagements. Through this course, children begin to grasp deeper cognitive concepts like numeracy and literacy, through play-based, experiential learning.

Passion Pursuers (Pre-Nursery)

Ages

18 to 36 month olds

Timings

Mondays to Fridays- 8.45am to 11.15am

Transitioning from playschool into formal preschool requires a keen environment with an optimal balance of academic and co-curricular activities for a child’s holistic development. Ikigai’s Passion Pursuers course allows our toddlers to now move into becoming independent preschoolers capitalizing on their passion projects through self-directed learning in numeracy and literacy.

Purpose Nurturers (Nursery)

Ages

3 to 4 years

Timings

Mondays to Fridays – 9am to 11.30am

With the big school just a step away, the Purpose Nurturers course is carefully designed to make our little Ikigaites ready to take on formal schooling. Empowering each of our learners with skill-based conceptual learning of math and language along with achievement of developmentally- appropriate creative, social, emotional and physical milestones is the ultimate purpose of this course.
